Finger Joint Lumber

Finger Joint Lumber is a unique product where shorter lengths of lumber are joined using a finger joint pattern and industrial strength glue, as shown in the photograph. This creates a stable length of wood which is less prone to warping with a tendency to be straighter than standard studs.

Ecologically this product saves a lot of lumber that would otherwise be wasted. Often, lumber with splits, weak or damaged areas are rejected for general use. Using the finger joint method, the strongest sections can be cut out creating shorter high quality sections, which are then joined to create longer sections of lumber.

Finger joint lumber is stress tested regularly by applying force to the middle of a board to ensure each batch conforms to regulatory Standards.
